Guide to Find Cheap New York Hotel

//
//

When you are in New York, You have a few choices if you are looking for cheap hotels in New York – you can take your chances with hotels that offer good deals in one of the boroughs, or you can give up on the city altogether and stay across the Hudson in New Jersey. In both cases, hotel rates will be lower. But in the former situation, unless you know the neighborhood well before you book, you may end up in a dodgy area and an even dodgier hotel. And wherever you decide to stay, if you are not right in the center, you also have to factor in the costs of daily transportation to get into Manhattan.
On the other hand, if you really want to stay in Manhattan, some of the neighborhoods which are not as upscale (and therefore have a higher proportion of budget hotels) are the East Village, Chinatown, the Chelsea Garment District, Gramercy Park, and the Theater District (especially around Times Square). People who know will generally steer you away from the Times Square area, although that is probably where the highest concentration of cheap New York City hotels actually is. Do not worry that this area is dangerous, however – there just is not much there aside from Times Square and Broadway, so it is usually better to try to stay elsewhere if you can afford it.
One of the more famous hotels in New York is the Chelsea Hotel, where many currently famous musicians and other artists stayed when they were not-so-famous. It is not always a cheap option, even if you will go home with some stories. Both the Plaza Hotel and the Waldorf-Astoria are internationally known, probably as much for their high prices as their top-level service! If you can get a deal on a room in either of those hotels, be sure to let me know how.
New York is known in some circles as “The City that Never Sleeps,” and that might be just as well when you start looking at the extraordinarily high rates for hotels in this amazing city. You might feel compelled to stay up all night just to avoid paying for an expensive hotel room! Rooms are especially costly when you are trying to stay in Manhattan itself rather than one of the boroughs further away from the center. So while you may not find many cheap hotels in New York, you can certainly learn a few things to help you pay less than you otherwise might

Guide to find how to find cheap motel
Here are the tips how to choose A motel according to By Nancy Parode, from About.com

//

Nancy said that your motel choice can make or break your trip. If you choose well, you’ll have a clean, affordable place to stay. Unfortunately, some motel customers discover that their room isn’t clean or that its walls are paper-thin. When you’re faced with a list of choices and you’re traveling on a budget, how can you choose the right motel?
Typically, people who stay in motels fall into one of several categories: budget-conscious travelers, sightseers, families, businesspeople and travelers in transit. Motel chains, always aware that travelers have a choice, are increasingly offering more amenities at competitive prices. These extras, ranging from wireless Internet access to loaner books to exercise rooms, are designed to appeal to all types of travelers. Your job is to decide what features are important to you and to base your motel choice on them.
She also explained the factors that might affect your decision.
Cost
Motel prices vary drastically from place to place. In New York City, $200 doesn’t go very far. In some areas of the U.S., however, $200 will buy you an extremely comfortable room at the best place in town. Researching lodging costs for a particular area will help you decide how much to spend on your motel room.
Many travel websites, such as Kayak and Travelzoo, can help you compare motel prices and shop for the best deal. Guidebooks, which often contain useful maps, can help you find the safest part of town or the neighborhood closest to the sights you plan to visit. Use a combination of websites and travel guides to determine which motels fit your budget.

Motel Chain / Brand Loyalty
I’ve been lucky enough to have stayed at several excellent motels in the last few years. I tend to book future stays with the chains that please me and avoid staying at chains where I’ve had bad experiences, regardless of cost or amenities. Most of the time, this strategy pays off. If the motel chain in question offers frequent flier miles or some other kind of traveler rewards program, that’s even better.

Distance to Sights / Destinations
If you’ve set your heart on spending the day at Washington, D.C.’s monuments and memorials, you’ll be very disappointed with a motel 50 miles from the National Mall. Always consider the distance and travel time to the sights you want to see when you choose a motel. You may pay a little – or even a lot – more to stay near your top five sights, but you won’t have to worry about getting to your must-see spots on time or fret over where to park your car.

Safety
In large cities, safety considerations are extremely important. Never skimp on accommodations if doing so puts your safety at risk. If you aren’t sure where the safe areas are, get some guidebooks and read about your destination. Don’t trust online advertisements; ask friends who’ve traveled to your destination, read independent reviews or talk with a travel agent before booking your room.

Motel Features
Most travelers have “make or break” lodging requirements. For me, a nonsmoking room is a must-have. Make a list of motel room features that are important to you. If you can’t get information on motel features from guidebooks or websites, call the motel you’re considering and ask the front desk staff to describe their property.

The Final Decision
In the end, it’s up to you to decide which features matter most. If you have questions, call the motel’s front desk and discuss your concerns with the manager. Carefully read the motel’s cancellation policy before you make your reservation.

Cheap Hotel Las Vegas

Cheap Hotel Las Vegas

If Las Vegas Hotel is Anything ?

//

Las Vegas is a city with two faces – on the one hand, it is a popular tourist destination which sees floods of leisure travelers descend on the city on Friday and leave again on Sunday. This tourist influx makes hotel rates go up, and understandably so. The problem is, the other face of Las Vegas is that it is a premier trade show and meeting destination. It is tailor-made to host big organizational meetings and shows, which take place during the week – making hotel rates go up. So how can you find a cheap hotel in Las Vegas?
Well, while Las Vegas hotel rates seem to have reason to go up all week long, the prices do tend to be noticeably higher on weekends. So if you can plan your trip to be during the week, you can save some money. Of course, most of the most interesting (and nicest) hotels are right along the famous Las Vegas Strip – and are going to cost a little more. And when you are talking about a vacation in Las Vegas, it is infinitely more fun to stay on The Strip and be surrounded by all the things that are quintessentially Vegas than to be further away.
It is wall-papered with hotels. Most of the big hotels come disguised as casinos or quasi-theme parks, but behind all the neon, slot machines and smokey haze there are thousands upon thousands of hotel rooms in Las Vegas. In other words, the tricky part is not finding a place to lay your head – the tricky part can be finding a cheap hotel in Las Vegas.
Some of the more noteworthy hotels in Las Vegas – all along The Strip – are the beautiful Bellagio with its signature musical water show, the pyramid-shaped Luxor, The Venetian with its indoor canal and the new Wynn Las Vegas. Of these, the Luxor is probably the most affordable – the others are more high-end hotels, especially the new Wynn, but if you play your cards right you can still find a room at any one of them without taking out a second mortgage.
